Born in the United States, Richard Ben-Veniste is an American lawyer. He came to the limelight as a special prosecutor during the Watergate scandal. Ben has also been a member of the 9/11 Commission.
Richard litigates complex civil and white-collar criminal cases. He is also known for his pointed questions and criticisms of members of the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations. Ben became a CNN Legal Analyst in 2017. Ben has been listed in Who’s Who in America since 1975, The Best Lawyers in America since 1983, and Washingtonian magazine’s Top Lawyers in Washington, DC since 1992 when the list first appeared.
From 2003 to 2004, Richard served as one of ten commissioners on the bipartisan 9-11 Commission.
